The Quinolones antibiotics (QNS) are often used in prevention and treatment of widespread disease caused from animals and fish farming, the group of QNS mainly includes the Enrofloxacin, Ciprofloxacin, Pefloxacin, Norfloxacin, Danofloxacin, Ofloxacin, Oxolinic acid, and Flumequine. However, Quinolones often pose adverse effects to human bodies, threatening our gastrointestinal and central nerve systems. Side effects include dizziness, insomnia, headache and etc. The presence of residues of these compounds in food producing animals has to be controlled, and maximum residue limits have been set depending on the animal species and matrices.
