The beauty of Xikeng Forest Road is an ever-changing experience. Each journey brings a different sensation. Some birds fill the air with their enchanting melodies, singing gracefully, while others chirp in a hurried frenzy... an unceasing chorus of diverse calls. There are also birds that accompany us, singing along as we walk, their melodies lingering in the air like delicate threads.
As we listen to the birdsong, we gather mountain vegetables (wild edibles) along the way. Watching the sunlight gently filter through the mountain mist feels like a divine light emerging in the hazy morning, providing me with a soothing healing energy amidst the pandemic.
