According to the molding characteristics, the injection mold is divided into two types: thermosetting plastic mold and thermoplastic plastic mold;

• Thermoset materials begin in a liquid state and become solid when heated.
  These make the cured material strong, dimensionally stable, highly resistant to heat and chemicals, and give a higher degree of rigidity than it possessed before curing.
• Thermoplastics commonly start in pellet form that becomes more liquidy and pliable as heat is applied. The thermoplastic hardens into the shape of the mold as it cools, but it does not “cure” and create cross-links like thermoset materials do. Therefore, the changes in the thermoplastic are purely physical and completely reversible with the reapplication of heat.
