Three major causes for snoring (which can be eliminated with snoring mouthpiece):
1● Upper respiratory muscle is loosened: It is usually seen in older people snoring in their sleep. Snoring is most common in REM sleep because of the loosened muscle tone characteristic of this stage of sleep, especially for someone who is exhausted or taking sleeping pill.
2● Obesity: The accumulated fat tissue around neck will minimize internal diameter of the airway, making it more likely to collapse during sleep and triggering snoring.
3● Chronic/acute upper respiratory infection: During infection the discharge is increased with swollen mucosa of the upper respiratory tract. The respiratory tract is constricted and increases the chance for snoring. This situation may result from a common flu, sinusitis, chronic pharyngitis, or a smoker.
